Session Info

Each session is uniquely created with love! Jenna Lynn Photography works to please each client with pictures that create memories. When booking, there is a lot to take into consideration. Please be sure you know what you would like out of your session, therefore you can pick the session that is right for your needs. Each package is unique, some sessions may come with prints and a set amount of edits and others may not. Some sessions have restrictions as far as location or amount of people involved so please be sure you are aware of what you are looking for in order to book the session that is perfect for you. Sessions can be created to be aesthetically unique to the client but the client may be responsible for obtaining any props or backgrounds that are not already in the studio if they would like something special for their session.

Mini Sessions/Specialty:

Mini sessions are usually one backdrop within 10 miles of the studio for 1-2 subjects only. There will be an additional fee if you have more than 2 subjects or would like a session further than 10 miles from my studio. Mini sessions are typically 30 minutes in length only, yielding roughly 10-20 edited images from the session. Specialty sessions may vary in length, please read each package carefully to see what is all included.

Regular sessions:

Full portrait sessions typically run about 45-60 minutes long but should not exceed the 60 minutes (excluding newborn). These typically have 1-3 backdrop selections or outdoor locations up to 25 miles from my studio (or a travel fee will apply). Full sessions will yield approximately 25-50 edited images and include immediate family members(Mom & Dad and children) up to 5 members (same household). For any session with more than 5 people will need to be done outside on location and there will an additional fee per each person over the 5th person.

Deposit & Retainer

A $50 non-refundable booking retainer/deposit will be required for all clients and must be paid at the time of booking (unless otherwise stated, some special sessions and weddings may require a larger deposit). Booking deposit should be mailed out on the day of booking (do not send cash in the mail). If your deposit is paid late, you will be subjected to a 25% surcharge of the payment due, also due at that time. If the deposit is not paid in full by the designated date, Jenna Lynn Photography has the right to cancel your session/date and you will be forced to pay a new deposit for the new day.  Clients are allowed to prepay the entire session when booking, but the $50 deposit (or other price stated) of that still applies to the non-refundable booking deposit if you are to cancel for any reason.

Confirming your Appointment

Please be aware that you must confirm your appointment. Approximately a week before your scheduled appointment, I will send you a reminder notice/confirmation message. You must reply to it stating which session you are set on doing, location and time of your session. If you do not respond within 48 hours before your appointment with a confirmation, your session will be void. You will be required to pay an additional $25 rebooking fee (for non wedding bookings) for a non-confirmation no show if you would like to rebook. Your deposit is non-refundable, no exceptions.

Full Package Amount Due/ Payments

If you do not pay the full package amount before your session, the remaining balance of your session must be paid on the session date during your session. When booking you will pick which session you would like and after you have chosen, you will be locked in that price for the package, (wedding exclusions).  Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover accepted. NOTE: I reserve the right to add a 4% transaction fee on all credit card payments. $25 fee for returned checks for insufficient funds plus the original payment will need to be repaid in cash only! Please note if you are paying with a check: Your images will not be accessible until the check clears. If prints do not come with your session, the final remaining balance of print cost is to be paid prior to print order being sent to the lab. Due to the custom nature of this work, all sales are final this pertains to prints, other products and sessions. No package swapping, you cannot have a full 60 minute session with multiple backdrops and then view your gallery and downgrade to a mini. The time for the session as well as editing is already pre determined based on the package chosen in confirmation.

Cancelation/Rescheduling

In the event that you need to cancel your session, you must do so at minimum 24 hours prior to your session time. Due to the business making profits based on a set schedule of sessions, it is a loss of profits if a client is to cancel less than 24 hours before their session due to spots being limited and someone else could fill that time slot.

I fully understand emergencies and sickness happens, therefore although the deposit that was paid is non-refundable, it can be used towards rescheduling of the same session type (ie. Family, Children, etc.) as long as it is canceled within the 24 hours of session

The rescheduling is based around Jenna Lynn’s current availability and the session must be photographed within 30 days of the prior session date. Booking after the 30 day time frame means that you will lose your deposit and it becomes no longer transferable nor refundable. The same applies to Mini sessions or specialty sessions, if you are a no show/no call for your session you or anyone in your immediate family will be charged the $25 re-booking fee for your next session. Mini sessions/specialty would have to be rescheduled in the time period of the Mini Session Promotion. If there are no available times left for the mini/specialty session then you will ultimately lose the opportunity to have a mini/specialty session, it will not transfer to another mini session later.

Cake Smash re-booking fee is $40 if cancelled within 24 hours or less of scheduled appointment time due to the cost of the cake to be remade for another date at least 7 days after your scheduled session.

Note: Re-booking fees do not go towards your next session, they are payment for time lost in previous session. Cancelations can be messaged via Jenna Lynn Photography’s facebook page, jennalynnphoto@gmail.com or by calling 920.574.4689.

If a client is to cancel/reschedule a second time, the retainer is then non-refundable and non-transferable. The client will then have to pay another $50 deposit to hold the new date. Clients will not be penalized due to inclement weather or if I am the one needing to reschedule.

Late Policy

Please be punctual. I arrive at each session on time or early to scope out the location, I ask my clients to do the same, and to please show up on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your session, I reserve the right to rebook your session, thus incurring a $25 re-booking fee for a future date that I have available in my calendar. Arriving more than 25 minutes late to your session will automatically result in rescheduling of the session and you will be charge a $25 re-booking fee for the new date. Sessions are created based on the amount of time it takes to capture each session to its fullest; if a client does not show up at the scheduled time it not only takes out of their session time but does not allow them the full opportunity to obtain the true value of the intended session.

If you do arrive late and I agree to photograph the session versus rebooking the session for another you’re your session will end at the previously scheduled time, absolutely no exceptions. You may not come out with the same quality or amount of images that you would if you had a full session, due to the time reduction.

Reshoots

A re-shoot will be offered in the case of technical failure on my part. This re-shoot offer does not apply if it is because of an uncooperative child.. This re-shoot is only offered if it is a failure on MY part to produce satisfactory images, not because a subject was crying or unwilling to smile for the session. This also does not apply to those who choose to show up late to a session and want to keep the session; if you arrive late and the lighting or quality is different that does not mean you will be given a reshoot. Please note that ALL of the images from the first session will be deleted from my system and you will not be permitted to order any images from the first shoot absolutely no exceptions. You will also need to wear the same outfits on everyone photographed and it must be the same location/backdrops. I will not do a re-shoot because a child was misbehaving or someone “got a new haircut” or “we just didn’t like our outfits or hair and make-up.”

Baby/Newborn Sessions

Sessions that include a baby three months or younger is considered a newborn session. Therefore, the newborn session must be purchased not the children’s session. The curled up naked baby pose will only be done 0-15 days after baby is born. Most newborn sessions are done in studio due to having the proper lighting, backdrops and props right in the studio. If there are special request for in home sessions these exceptions can be made but the lighting, backdrop selection and props may not be well as that of an in studio session.

Family/ Extended Family Sessions

A family session consists of one immediate family, (for example, Mom, Dad & their children). Family pictures with grandparents, multi-families such as aunts/uncles or siblings of parents must book an Extended family session. The Extended family sessions are priced per need basis, these sessions allow more time for the families to be broken down and photographed individually.

Edits & Retouching

I do not edit your images directly after your session while you are here. Edits/enhanced pictures take roughly up to 10-14 business days to be completed. I go in order of session numbers. (Please note that during busy or holiday times, edits may take longer than the 10-14 business day time frame.) If you need your edits sooner, you may request a rush order and your edits will be finished with a blog preview within 2-3 business days after your session and sent out 4 business days after your session. (Additional fees apply, cannot be used on weddings)

Event photography and specialty sessions such as newborns, seniors and weddings take more time to be completed because of the amount of editing involved, and those will be worked around my other session edits. Holiday mini event sessions will be bumped in front of all regular session edits.

Please do not contact me asking if your edits are “done soon” before this allotted time frame is up. (I understand you are excited, and I will post a sneak peek photo within a few days of your session) Please be patient, as you are not my only client. If your edits will take longer than the time frame given, I will notify you. I am a one person show, juggling a business and life outside of the business. Holiday’s are family time, not editing time and personal travel is not included in the 10-14 business days (ie. If your session is a day or two before I leave for a trip please note it may take more than the 10-14 business days). Thank you for understanding.

Retouching: You are not allowed to edit, crop or alter the images in any way. Basic retouching is included in each session. Additional editing (for example, major acne removal/skin smoothing, digital weight loss, wrinkle removal, rash removal, tattoo removal, etc) is available for $75/hour with a one hour minimum. Quotes will be made per your requirements- fee must be paid in full before editing will begin.

Prints & Digital Images

Starting in 2016, various print packages will be offered to clients as additional add ons. Prints do not come automatically with all packages. All specialty and regular sessions will come with the digital files (some mini sessions may not include the digital images do to the package being greatly discounted, but the files can be purchased as add-on). Please be aware that Jenna Lynn Photography is not responsible for personal printing from session CD/USB or the quality of your prints, should you choose not to print with Jenna Lynn Photography. I print via a professional photo lab, therefore my prints are on professional photo paper to ensure color quality and paper quality are at the best possible. If you choose not to order your prints through me and print your prints elsewhere, Jenna Lynn Photography is not responsible for paper quality, cropping issues, or color quality (or any other problem that may arise) that is associated with personal printing.

Images seen in your blog post gallery are those images that are edited and those will be given to you. Under various circumstances some unedited images will be given from the session. These are images that are of good quality, but with the amount of images from a session, it may be too much to edit every image. Edit requests to these images will be put after those sessions I currently have and can take over the 10-14 business days to edit. Editing charges may apply based on individual requests. If prints do not come with your session, the final remaining balance of print cost is to be paid prior to print order being sent to the lab. Orders are shipped directly to clients, therefore the balance will be paid in full before the client receives any images from the shoot. (Some prints may be too large to ship or require extra shipping, if this is the case clients will be notified on how they may pick up their prints. )

Ordering

Orders must be placed within ONE MONTH of edited proofs being sent out to you otherwise a $15 re-hosting fee will be required to bring up and edit prints from your session. To avoid the re-hosting fee, please make sure you order your prints within the 30 day time frame if you plan to order through Jenna Lynn Photography. Once your order prints, please allow 1-2 weeks for your order to be delivered (add an additional week for specialty or novelty items). If you need your print order faster, you can add a RUSH option to your package for an additional fee. (Rush packages are dependent on the time of year and size of the order). If you have prints that come with your package please be aware that those also expire after 30 days (6 months for weddings) these have no monetary value, are non-refundable and any monies paid to Jenna Lynn Photography will be considered payment for your session time only.

Studio Session Information/ Limited Liability

The studio a smaller space in my house, located in my basement. Being my own house, there are areas I try my best to keep private, please do your best to keep your children within the studio area. The same goes for the use of the bathroom, while there are no bathrooms in the studio area, you are more than welcome to use those located on the first floor. *(See pets for more in studio info with this in regard).

Please note: You (and your family) are at my studio for pictures at your own risk. While I do provide a safe environment for your pictures to be taken in, I cannot be held responsible for inappropriate actions that led to an injury, such as, but not limited to: climbing on the furniture, running around, not staying in the “studio” photo area, any accidents that could occur walking up or down the stairs, etc. I will not be held liable for injuries due to unsafe acts on you or your family’s behalf. Please always supervise your children. Please Do Not have children climbing around behind backdrops and near equipment, not only is it dangerous, but the equipment is very expensive and you could be held responsible if something were to become damaged due to you or your child. Please keep in mind, you are here to be professionally photographed, therefore please keep the use of a cell phone or personal camera outside of the studio. I can guarantee that you will have better images than any cell phone can give you and it is distracting to myself as well as the ones being photographed. (*does not apply to weddings and event photography)

Pets

In studio Sessions:

With studio sessions being held in my home, please be aware I have pets within the house that roam free while sessions are not going on. If any family member is allergic to cats, please come prepared and give a notice if need be, pets will not be in the studio area. As much as we all love our pets and do consider them family, please be aware that pets are no longer be allowed in the studio. Due to the location of the studio as well as other pets in the home, it does not work out for pets to be photographed in studio.

Outside sessions:

If you would like your pet to be a part of your session, please book a session that can take place either in your home or outside. Your pets are more than welcome to be a part of your session at no extra cost. Please make sure you allow ample time in the shoot for your pet, some tend to get easily distracted outside in public areas. Leashes should be brought for dogs/pets and worn through session unless otherwise specified. Please note it is your responsibility to follow the park rules involving pets, I am not liable for any issues your pet may have with other people, pets, etc. at a location.

Travel Fee

Travel is done by car for location portraits. Most cases the travel is within 25 or less miles from Neenah, WI (location of studio). Any mileage over what is included in the package is determined based on each sessions needs and distance. Mini sessions travel will be limited to 15 miles from Neenah before the travel fee will be added.

Gift Certificates

There are a couple options for purchasing gift certificates. The first being purchasing that of a package session fee, clients will receive a gift certificate only used for that type of session. Clients can also purchase print credits in any given written amount. Gift certificates are presented and surrendered at the clients session. Gift certificates have no cash value and are not redeemable for cash.  Print credit gift certificates cannot be used towards your session fee.

Gift certificates expire one year after purchase. Jenna Lynn Photography will not accept expired gift certificates and Jenna Lynn Photography is not responsible for replacing lost or stolen gift certificates, or any other promotional item, such as coupons or punch cards. No Exceptions.

Copyrights

All photographs taken by Jenna Sakowski- Jenna Lynn Photography are her property, will remain her property and are protected by United States Copyright Laws (USC Title 17). Client hereby waives any claim for ownership, income, editorial control and use of the images. Violators of this federal law will be subject to its civil and criminal penalties. All images are copyrighted by Jenna Sakowski – Jenna Lynn Photography. I retain ALL copyrights to my photograph files. When purchasing a disc/USB, you receive PRINTING rights, not the copyrights. My photos are not to be altered or edited in ANY way. Photography is art, please respect my art. Thank you.

Right of Refusal

If, for any reason, Jenna Lynn Photography does not feel able to provide you with the services you require, another photographer may be recommended. Jenna Sakowski and Jenna Lynn Photography reserve the right to refuse service to any client who knowingly and intentionally disregards any of the aforementioned policies.

Chargebacks, Credit Card Disputes and Bounced Checks

If paying by credit card, when you receive your images and later dispute the charges to avoid paying your bill, you will then be charged (by me) the disputed amount plus 10% and also a $50 chargeback fee for my inconvenience, if your refuse to pay at that point, I will file charges against you with the District Magistrate, Commonwealth of Wisconsin, Winnebago County, to ensure I get payment for the services I provided and you will be responsible for any/all court costs as well. (This also includes non-refundable retainers and prints as well.) Bounced checks will result in a $25 fee on returned checks for insufficient funds (plus the original check amount). You will be required to pay in cash for all future transactions.

Limited Liability for Photography

In the unlikely event that the PHOTOGRAPHER is injured or becomes too ill to photograph the event, the PHOTOGRAPHER will make every effort to secure a replacement photographer. If the situation should occur and a suitable replacement is not found, responsibility and liability is limited to the return of all payments received for the event package. The PHOTOGRAPHER takes the utmost care with respect to exposure, transportation and processing the photographs. However, in the unlikely event that all of the photographs have been lost, stolen or destroyed for reasons within or beyond the PHOTOGRAPHER control, all parties agree that the PHOTOGRAPHER liability is limited to the return of all payments received for the event package. The limit of liability for a partial loss of original images shall be a prorated amount of the package selected, based on the percentage originals lost. In any event, the limit of Photographer’s liability shall not exceed the contract price stated herein.

Price List Subject To Change Without Notice. Price is locked with your booking and paid deposit only. Prices are guaranteed for a period of 30 days following the date of the portrait session. Items purchased more than 30 days after the date of the session will be priced according to the most recent price list.

Jenna Lynn Photography reserves the right to use session photos for display on this website and/or publications for promotion of this business.

By booking a session you agree to all the terms presented above.
